This is an online Yahoo group for parents of children with special needs/autism in the Santa Maria area. We're just starting out, and are planning on get togethers for parents, as well as play dates and social skills groups for the kids. Please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns and ideas regarding special education issues, regional center issues, or issues with your child.
Brag about your child's accomplishments, big and small. We can all appreciate even the smallest steps and know how fun it is to share achievements with people who understand. Vent away if something is bothering you, if we can't help, we can at least listen. No one here will be judgemental. We've all been pushed to the limits at one time or another and can understand. If we can help, EVEN BETTER!
